Elephants and Exams

Elephant Fact # 13: Elephants are averse to peanuts.

Another ridiculously long week, thanks to exam block.

I keep on forgetting that there are always better places to sit during tests than others—no one wants to be the kid that sits next to the smart ass who tears the paper to shreds with their goddamn enthusiasm.

It's so distracting, the way they pound on the paper with their pencils! In the dead silence of the exam room you just hear this relentless rat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat--

Or in that one area where you don’t realize is directly in front of a window until the sun hits you.

And finally, that place that teachers for some reason absolutely adore parading up and down along the aisles. This happened to me during one of the English papers; I was frantically scribbling some rubbish about the importance of watermelons and then this teacher stopped directly behind me.

I mean come on!

But it seriously feels really great to be able to just lay off the books for a while and just zone out—which lately for me means drawing. A lot.

I’m not sure why I’ve gotten so enthusiastic about it lately; it's probably all the Drawing Wars I did previously. But I guess it’s been paying off in a way—I’ve been working on the flag for my school House with a friend:

It's still unfinished, so it's just a draft. I'm just excited that I get to design part of it...

And then I hit this peak of laziness where I just. Could. Not. Be. Stuffed.

Helloooo, Purble Palace.

Until next time!
